O God, who in your unfathomable providence are pleased to send your holy Angels to guard us, hear our supplication as we cry you, that we may always be defended by their protection and rejoice eternally in their company. Through our Lord Jesus Christ you Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

First Reading.                             Exodus 23:20-23

 Behold, I will send my Angel, who will go before you, and preserve you on your journey, and lead you into the place that I have prepared.

 Heed him, and hear his voice, and do not hold him in disregard. For he will not release you when you have sinned, and my name is in him.

  But if you listen to his voice and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will afflict those who afflict you.

  And my Angel will go before you, and he will bring you to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and Ithe Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, whom I will crush.

And whoever shall accept one such little child in my name, accepts me.

OPENING PRAYER.        Let us pray:

Eternal Father, you inspired the Virgin Mary, mother of your son to visit Elizabeth and assist her in her need.Keep us open to the working of your Spirit, and with Mary may we praise you forever. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

                   Gospel Reading: Luke 1:39-56

 And in those days, Mary, rising up, traveled quickly into the hill country, to a city of Judah.
And she entered into the house of Zechariah, and she greeted Elizabeth.
And it happened that, as Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
 And she cried out with a loud voice and said: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
 And how does this concern me, so that the mother of my Lord would come to me?
 For behold, as the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed are you who believed, for the things that were spoken to you by the Lord shall be accomplished."

And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord.
 And my spirit leaps for joy in God my Saviour.
For he has looked with favor on the humility of his handmaid. For behold, from this time, all generations shall call me blessed.
For he who is great has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
And his mercy is from generation to generations for those who fear him.
He has accomplished powerful deeds with his arm. He has scattered the arrogant in the intentions of their heart.
He has deposed the powerful from their seat, and he has exalted the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has taken up his servant Israel, mindful of his mercy,
Then Mary stayed with her for about three months. And she returned to her own house.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL 1

LEADER:             God chose Mary to be the Mother of all Christians. Let us ask that her Motherly protection may not be lacking to us.

Let us pray for all God's people: that we may come to understand how clearly how Mary is our Mother.

Let us pray for our country: that we may always enjoy the protection of our Lady, we pray , O Lord.

Let us pray for our separated brethren: that they may not see our devotion to Mary as harming Christian unity but as promoting it. We pray, O Lord.

Let us pray for all mothers of our Parish: that they may show true love and care for their children as Mary did.

October Devotion: A Month With Mary

OPENING PRAYER:                       Let us pray.  

       

    Almighty Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, You have revealed the beauty of Your power        by exhalting the lowly virgin of Nazareth and making her the mother of our saviour. May the prayers of this woman bring Jesus to a waiting world and fill the void of incompletion with the presence of her child, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

The Annunciation

 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was        sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”^[ But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David.He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.” Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

REFLECTION

We are grateful to For sending the Redeemer and grateful to Mary for her "Yes".

 Mary is the woman of faith and the servant of the Lord.

THE HEALING OF MARRIAGE

Lord Jesus Christ, I come against all deeply rooted patterns of marital unhappiness, feud, family alienation and divorce in my bloodline.

Lord, make me settle down with the man of my dreams.

I renounce all forms of injustice, suppression of spouses, and all expression marital unloved, wickedness, maltreatment and slavery.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I stop all hatred, death wishes, oaths of death, evil desires and intentions in marriage relationship.

I put an end to all transmission of violence, all vindictive negative behaviour, all infidelity and deception.

I halt all curses pronounced against members of my family, from being to us, to block the female from marriage. Let them be released now and let them have the right husbands.
Let there be nothing to block enduring relationships.

I renounce all patterns of family tension, marriage-breakdown, family disintegration, hardheartedness in the name of Jesus Christ.

I bring an end to all deeply rooted pattern of feeling trapped in an unhappy marriage, all feelings of emptiness, poverty, frustrations, and failures.

Father, forgive any relative of mine for the way they dishonoured the sacrament of marriage.

Let your love flow into my family to bring deep commitment of love and lasting relationship, faithfulness, fidelity, unity and kindness, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord by your death on the cross, you have destroyed all enmity in my family tree, by the means of the same cross unite all my bloodline into one body and bring all back to God.

Create out the division, one new people in union with you, and make peace.

HEALING OF ALL DISEASES

I now order all physical sickness patterns coded into my heritage to cease to exist. In the mighty name of Jesus, I take the sword of the Holy Spirit and severe all links to diseases of all kinds; heart diseases, blood disease, cancer, digestive and eating disorders, ulcer, and tendencies to form tumours,

I come against all patterns of female disorders, menstrual problems, hormonal imbalances, infertility, and sexual coldness.

I now break the links with all male sexual disorders, impotents and transmissible diseases. I come against all physical deformities, hearing problems, immune deficiencies, rare diseases, weak eye, bad teeth, and flat feet.

I come against all migraines, mental retardation, lung problems, arthritis, skin diseases and bone disorder. I renounce all forms of physical trauma that have hooked into me genetically. I severe that connection.

In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, crucified for my sake, I come against the root cause of all physical disorders and unexplained weaknesses,

Lord, free me from the effects of these sick pathways etched into my ancestry.
Stop their propagation.

Father, forgive those in my family for all the ways they have chosen sickness to avoid life; for the ways they have tried to meet ends in unhealthy ways.

Let an engrained pattern of choosing life run like a river through my bloodline. I praise you, Lord Jesus. For you live with the Father and the Holy Spirit now and forever more.

PRAYER OF BREAKTHROUGH FROM THE TRANSMISSION OF SATANIC WORK THROUGH ONE'S ANCESTORS

Lord, I stand before you and confess that my ancestors may have been involved in idol worship, occultism, spiritism, divination, witchcraft, and all manners of seeking information from sources forbidden by you. Lord, forgive.

In the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit, I take hold of and use the authority you have given me as a child of God, spirit-filled, to break the power of evil over my ancestry.

Right now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I exercise this authority to break all curses, spells, evil wishes, evil desires, and darkness, magic, hereditary seals, satanic pronouncements, bonds, covenants, dedications, initiations known and unknown.

I come against all satanic vows, pacts, spiritual bonding and soul ties with satanic forces, and I severe the transmission of those links through my ancestry.

I come against the effects of all links with psychics, clairvoyants, astrologers, mediums, occult seers, masters, and fortune tellers.

I renounce any form of participation in séance, divinations and activities with tarot cards, astrology and occult game of all kinds.

I renounce all the ways that Satan may have a hold on me or any member of my family.
I break the transmission of all satanic work passed on through my bloodline.

Lord, please remove from my ancestry all effects of involvement in the occult. Any territory handed to Satan by my ancestors; I hereby take and place under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

 Lord, please raise up in my bloodline holy, Godly men and women, a righteous branch, a holy stock deeply committed to you and your truth from now on and forever.

O God our Father, look with love on your daughters who are pregnant. I present them to you. They are happy because you have blessed them with the fruits of the womb. They thank you for the  gift of new life. They are saying "Please bless  and take care of the children in our wombs".

O God, Holy Father, your and the saviour and the giver of life and love, please protect these families and their children from all harm and evil...

Protect them from evil spirits and jealous people....

May their children be strong and healthy, and make their hearts joyful....

Lord God, creator of all things, mighty and awesome, just and forgiving, you alone are good and kind. You saved Israel from all manner of plagues, making our forefathers your chosen people, and hallowing them by the touch of your spirit. You, by the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, prepared the body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mary to be the mother to be a dwelling for your son.
You filled John the Baptist with the Holy Spirit, causing him to leap for with joy in his mother's womb.

 Accept the prayers of a humble spirit, and grant the heart-felt desire of your servants who pleads for the safety of the children you allowe them to conceive .
Guard the lives that are yours: defend them from all the craft and spite of the pitiless foes. Let your gentle hand like that skilled physicians, aid their delivery, bringing their off-springs safe and sound to the light of day. 
May their children live to be re-born in baptism, and continue always in your service, and be found worthy of attaining everlasting lives.
We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
